pili pala

This piece is 3D. It is constructed of bristol board cut into 2x2 squares, then wired together. The image is made from a medium of india ink mixed with Elmers glue and the colors are soft pastels. The back is tissue paper & the box was constructed out of foam board. I really like this piece because it reminds me of an ink blot text.

  1. I love this piece! I think you are doing a great job of figuring out new ways of presenting your style- the squares look like they are floating which is a really cool effect too!

  2. Makiz,
So I really really like this series of drawings with wire etc. I feel like you could do so many different versions of this. Awesome job! (you last one was my favorite :) ). By the way your drawing skills are quite amazing!

  3. I really like the 3D effect using the wire gives your artwork. This one in particular looks like it is floating in midair. I also have to say you're doing a great job of taking the wire and using it in new ways, and they are all way cool. :)

  4. Makay I love that your mixing 2D stuff in with 3D. Your really good at both and mixing them just makes it that much better. This is probably one of my favorites that you have done and it looks really awesome. Great job!
