pili pala

This piece is 3D. It is constructed of bristol board cut into 2x2 squares, then wired together. The image is made from a medium of india ink mixed with Elmers glue and the colors are soft pastels. The back is tissue paper & the box was constructed out of foam board. I really like this piece because it reminds me of an ink blot text.

untitled

This was an individual piece that was supposed to be 3D, but looked better 2D. It is done with charcoal and soft pastels. It looks as if the person is reaching out and is distorted in a great way.

Kevin

This is a piece influenced by the Francis Bacon style on portraits. It's done with soft chalk pastels. The turquoise adds an accent color to give the picture depth. This is probably my favorite piece.

Flags

This was a quick environmental charcoal piece done of a rack of chairs with 3 Color Guard flags draped over them. On the fags are soft chalk pastels and india ink for details.

Recycling Paris

This piece was done in my Art 3D class last year. Our medium was cans. I chose to create the Effil Tower out of Coke cans. Every piece of the can was used, from the bottom to the tab. Its all held together with hot glue.

Hello Friend

This is a piece using charcoal to demonstrate movement within a piece.
I used soft pastels to generate the effect of color within the clothing of the girl.
